Agreed, separate emulators! And then when the emulator runs, we wouldn't have to select Sega Master or Game Gear, saving a step...as well as saving the time of converting extensions.

make a textfile and write this into it:
Code: Select all
rename *.gg *.sms

rename to textfile.bat, copy to game gear rom folder, then doubleclick. saved me hours.

Just gave v 2.0 a whirl, and it's a definite improvement over v 1.0... :)

I still cannot get this to run. Every time I try to run in the game folder I get 'no file found'. I have put the .sim in the correct place. Im completely perplexed!! I updated alexmaul's other Emu Colecoo no problem, im even running SMS on Dingux. Is there something stopping it from running? I read in an earlier post that the MD fix may conflict with it. Can someone confirm this is the case?

I don't know what to tell you. Put the .SIM in the same folder as the other native .SIM files, create a new folder for the Roms (I called mine SMS_GG), put the ROMs in that folder, and run "Interesting Game". Don't forget to rename the ROM file extensions to .SMS - even for the GG files.

Have you tried doing an "Update Jukebox"? Have you tried hitting the reset button?

You could always try to move the MD.sim away from your dingoo for a while and see if SMS works.

Yep, it was definitely the updated MD.SIM replaced that with the original and SMS works ok. Interestingly enough, it prevented the Magnavox and Wonderswan emulators from running too.
