Mp3 scan on every boot

Postby Eeckgoar on Tue Jun 30, 2009 2:41 pm

Didn't find this issue anywhere on the forum...
I'm using my dingoo not only as a game station but also like to listen to the music. I've got collection of favourite songs summary size about 2gb. I put this collection on the player and now every time it boots about 10 min because of scanning every mp3 file. What can I do to prevent this? Why it scans only music but no video and no games? Help me please.

Turn off the U-boot virus protection in the settings? (I don't have a Dingoo yet, but I think this is it).

Already did that. It was first what I was thinking about. Also I've moved files to the SD card - without any help. ((

Did you try to flash a new firmware on the dingoo?

What if you just reset it without waiting for update to finish? I did that a few times.
Also.. is it supposed to load the main menu after it's done updating? Because mine just freezes on "update finished", so I have to reset it to get into the menu.
Need a life. Looking for donors.

Funny, I have never had this problem. Mine doesn't do this. And I have a lot of MP3s on mine.

Mine only does this after unplaugging the USB Cable, but not when I first turn it on. I tend to agree that its probably building a music playlist, as it does the same thing with wav files but not video files (and if you select Update Jukebox it does the same thing) If there were a way to switch off the auto update it'd most likely solve this issue. I also had thie issue with it getting stuck when I had oddles of music on it, but since removing everything it doesn't happen anymore (this occured on Custom Firmware A320-1.03TD-3).
