DON'T UPDATE THE FIRMWARE OR YOU'LL BRICK YOUR DINGOO!!!!!!

Dingoo has changed the LCD controller. Before it was an ILI9325, now is an ILI9331_3 (you can check your model with the hidden menu link ) so the unbricking tool won't work.

Sofia should be contacted so they can release a new unbricking tool. btw, current linux won't work on those new models.

Well this is really lame. I think this is partly what a lot of us were worried about with Dingoo struggling for parts and then just using different components....this is quite a hitch in the communities plans if stuff keeps happening like this. An LCD controller is relatively minor, but what's next.

as i understand it, its the part that allows information to be exchanged between the screen and the mobo. dont quote me on that though...

I've a ILI9331_3 and FW v1.1

gonna see what I can do for Booboo now :)
