An LCD controller is relatively minor, but what's next.

unfortuneatly its probably out of dingoos hands, since its gemei who are manufacturing this thing. i sincerely hope they dont change anything else because its simply making booboo and other linux developers jobs increasingly more difficult.

this is the kind of shit thats just gonna halt development. Are there any official firmwares out from dingoo for the new controller? or a dumped f/w? I'm just thinking there'd be no way to fix the issue in the meantime if not.

Also, how can i check? Mine should arrive tomorrow and i might as well have a look when installing my reset button=p

Recently, White Dingoo was Back Orderer... Black Dingoo wasnt.
All the Dingoo's that had this LCD problem was white... I think who get the white one after that back orderer, has the LCD problem... But black dingoo not.

I dont know. I got my dingoo at the same time this guys who bought the white one, but I got the black... My dingoo isnt here right now. Tomorrow I'll know and then I post here.

hi

i don't think it's a recoverytool problem. all you've to do is to replace the display driver.
if you try to unbrick you download a valid hxf-file and some *.dl file to your dingoo
the *.dl-file is the lcd-driver

i know of two different versions
blabla_ili9325.dl for ILI9325-LCD-Driver
and blabla_ili9331.dl for ILI9331_x-LCD-Driver

to check what chip your dingoo uses select -> about and click two times up, right, down. a new screen appears and shows your hardwareconfiguration. if your dingoo is already bricked try one after another.

to unbrick your dingoo simply use the corresponding dl-file

in a nutshell

1. get a valid hxf-firmware-file
2. find out what lcddriver your dingoo uses and choose the right dl-file
3. download both files to your dingoo (using the normal flashtool or recoverytool (it's the same))
4. done

hope this helps
