UP Arrow Unresponsive

Postby blastyrant on Thu Aug 06, 2009 4:04 am

hello all,
today i received a black dingoo a320 from DX. i have only had a few hours to play with it so for and i have discovered that the Up arrow is unresponsive. the rest of the d-pad works as it should. the up arrow requires more force and only works if it is pushed on the very edge of the d-pad. i have tried to clean around the area and used a can of compressed air. does anyone have a solution?

i have done no updates at all. i have also not had much time to research this new toy. i am unsure if there is a firmware update that fixes this problem or if i have a defective dingoo.

thank you for reading!

I just checked the "about" and my dingoo is running the v1.1 firmware already.

I would contact DX then and see if you can get a replacement. Always a bad egg somewhere

If you don't feel like returning it, you could try the 1.03TD custom firmware. That might change something about it software wise, but otherwise, just return it (could be a hardware was, as athlon4011 suggests).

it seems to me that it is hardware. it works sporadically, some presses don't register. if i hit it in the same spot on the very tip of the dpad with more pressure than i should need to, it seems to work 9/10. i opened a ticket with DX last night, no word yet.

i've been looking forward to getting this dingoo for a long time. it fits perfectly in my hand. this is a let down so i hope all with dx goes smootly and the next unit works like it should.

thanks for the help!
