Postby hamtotem on Tue Jul 28, 2009 8:21 am

Get the "Recovery Tool"

PRECAUTION:
EVERYTHING WILL BE ERASED FROM YOUR DINGOO.
TAKE OUT ANY MINISD IN THE MINISD SLOT OF YOUR DINGOO OR IT WILL BE ERASED.
MAKE SURE YOUR DINGOO HAS ENOUGH CHARGE AS A LOSS OF CHARGE DURING INSTALLATION MAY RESULT IN A BRICK (THOUGH IT IS ALREADY BRICKED ANYWAY)

1. Press reset WHILE holding B.
2. Plug into computer through USB (screen will stay black).
3. Manually install drivers in the "usb_drv" directory.
4. Start "flashutil" WITH ADMIN RIGHTS.
5. Select the appropriate Sytem DL Config (ILI9325 or ILI9331).
6. Select the appropraite firmware file (normally a320.HXF).
7. Select "Burning System".
8. Wait for FOUR LINES OF GIBBERISH to appear in the text box on "flashutil". Your Dingoo A320 should saying something along the lines of "UPGRADING FIRMWARE"
9. Close "flashutil" and unplug the Dingoo A320.
10. Your Dingoo A320 should reboot BUT EVERYTHING WILL BE IN CHINESE.
11. Press the following:
- Right x 9
- A
- Down x 5
- A
- Select "English"

At step there first comes one line of text with gibberish, then a second line together with the sound of unplugging usb, then the sound of plugging in a usb device and the screen on the dingoo turns to "Firmware Upgrade", however there are no third or forth line of text in the flash utillity, and the "Firmware Upgrade" stays there forever...

Any idea?

F*ck! Now i unplugged my bricked dingoo and plugged in my working one, and i forgot to close the recovery-tool, so it started upgrading the firmware on that one too... now they both behave the same way :(

actually, i was in the same boat as you. only two lines came up. so i unplugged it and i though i bricked it 4 good. not to worry, there should still be a way. after all, you have the EXACT SAME PROBLEM AS I DID.

is your dingoo lcd controller ILI9325 or ILI9331? (or an easier question is when did you get it)
did you open "flashutil" with admin rights?
did you install the driver in the "usb_drv folder?
did you uninstall drivers?
=>(under xp, control panel>admin tool>computer management>device manager and uninstall "ChinaChip USB loader) <= thanks for the reminder eule

explain your EXACT process and i might be able to help you.
(sorry, those steps came from the top of my head, ANYONE WANNA VERIFY 4 ME?)

ILI9351? I only know of 9325 (the old one) and 9331... Maybe you got a new one? :P
What helped me, when the tool didn´t work, was to uninstall the usb driver and reinstall it.
