Poweroff / Shutdown code in zImage?

Postby gp2xs on Fri Sep 18, 2009 6:29 pm

Has anyone compiled the poweroff code mentioned in the link below into a zImage?

the-official-linux-development-thread-t413-360.html#p9433

Does it work? Is it in the official zImages?

Thanks

It would be nice to be able to shut off the Dingoo from Dingux. Although its not that bad. I just reboot into the original firmware and then shut it off.

Here it is. Change the file name to zImage and add the following statements into the dmenu's cfg file:

MenuItem Poweroff
{
Icon = "res/system/reboot.png"
Name = " Poweroff"
Executable = "poweroff"
WorkDir = "/"
}

Enjoy it.

Im kind of an idiot at this still, where do I put this code?

I have Toddlers 0.30a and in my local/dmenu directory, I have main.cfg, doomgoo.cfg, dmenu (no extension), and some sub directories.

main.cfg has no entries that look like that, is this wher I put the string in? Or am I in the completely wrong place?

Thanks for helping a noob...
