LSChange v1.1

If you are like me, you think the loadingscreen the gba-emulator comes with by default is just plain ugly. With LSChange you are able to put your own loading-screen inside GBA.SIM.

Description:
  • LSChange replaces the Loadingscreen inside the GBA.SIM with an given Image.

Usage:
  • Come on, there's a self-explanatory GUI now ;P

Notes:
  • LSChange will backup your GBA.SIM as GBA.SIM.bak (if not already existent).
  • It handles different Image-Formats (.bmp, .png, .jpg, .gif, .tif).
  • LSChange needs .NET 2.0
  • you use this program on your own risk

Changelog:
Code: Select all
  1.1:

    [ADD] GUI
[ADD] Images of each size are now allowed and can either
be stretched to fullsize or displayed centered (in
this case the background will filled with a
        selectable color)
    [CHG] Commandlinearguments will be ignored

  1.0:

     Inital release

Mirror (Mediafire)

Older Versions:
1.0

Any suggestions are welcome.

can you post an example of the command you would use?
for example, i copied my GBA.SIM off the dingoo onto my hard drive into the same folder as lschange.

M:\DOCS-DINGOO\LSChange-1.0

inside here i have:

loadingscreen.bmp
lschange.exe
gba.sim

im not familiar with dos really
thanks

edit: ok it really was as simple as i thought.
simply "lschange gba.sim loadingscreen.bmp"

@Wiredbomb0 you're welcome

@akibal I have to admit that I didn't tested, it may work with 2.0 or smaller, but I always have the latest version installed cause I program with C# alot. But I didn't used anything fancy so I would doubt that you really need 3.5. But I will investigate further and let you guys know.

@gibberoids maybe I should have mentioned that you can absolute as well as relative paths. If there is a demand for agui I can put one in, but thought that would be a bit to much for this little functionality

Depends on how long it would take for the GUI. From what I know, you would only need to add a button, a openfile window and that's it (more or less) :P Would probably be handy for some members.

I really like the loading screen at the start of the topic. Do you have a PNG version?

Something like that?

(Just a sloppy recreation since I couldn't find a hires-shot of the original)

There is a .bmp-version included in the package (v1.0), but before you struggle with converting I attached a .png-one

akibal wrote:What version of .NET Framework should be used?

The first version was compiled against 3.5 but this time I made sure that it works with 2.0. Sorry but can't support older versions.

@wiredbomb0
Didn't take long, updated the first post ^^
