Dingoo freeze when overclocked at 430 WHY??

Postby maxif875 on Thu Apr 23, 2009 5:28 pm

Hi, i recently put in the overclock app and works well, i notice it slow down at 200 (i'm not able to notice nothing in 400 thought) but when i put it at 430 the dingoo just freeze i dont have the chance to press anything else, and the only way to get out is by restarting.
i've searched and i've not been able to find any answers.
help!

Doesnt happen with mine. All I can think of is that not all chips are are verified to overclock. Its the main reason the Dingoo runs at the speed that is set in the factory. They know that all the chips manufactured run at the that speed. The overclock is not guaranteed and with your console you can see why. Its the same in most PC parts, especially graphics cards some batches will overclock easily whilst another batch from the same production line might not overclock at all.

The overclock might not be needed in the near future. The Homebrew/Emu porters will be getting their hands on some free units soon so once the Emus are programmed to run natively on the Dingoo and optimized you shouldnt need it.

both the A320 x760+ have max clock speeds of 400mhz going above this WILL cause damage over time, and some of them wont even allow you to change it, which is why it will just freeze.
a320 and x760+ download database, fast downloads

Yeah, fair enough. I just wanted to know, when are the devs getting the free units?

Craigix from GBAX has said on at least forums that he was aiming to get them posted this weekend. The Devs can work with the SDK and dont necessarily need the console to actually program for it. Its always better to see the results on an actual console though.
