Snes9X with Overclock ?

Postby mortys on Tue Jul 21, 2009 5:13 pm

Maybe somebody can modify the code of Snes9X to include the Overclocking code that Slaanesh put in Mame. So more games will be really enjoyable...

Yes please, this would help a LOT.

Would it be possible to use the MAME4ALL gui as a basis for the snes9X gui?

I honestly don't that clock speed is an issue for the snes9x, most games work perfectly for me, those that don't are due to emulation issues rather than processor speed so I can't see performace increasing markedly in these cases....

I don't speak of the quality of emulation (of course the cpu frq won't change the code) but of the speed of the emulation. Some games are slow and OC could speed them up a bit, like for for Mame which is ARM free like Snes9X. That's all

Thanks for your fast as lightning answer :)

Because of limited hardware, or is it "just" the program? (There is a snes9x for the PSP with fx support)
