Is there any way to get rid of those really annoying advertisements here that talk/play lots of sounds. They're driving me off the wall.

Is there an option for the admin to pay to get rid of them or something?

If you´re on firefox, you could try Adblock Plus. I didn´t even know there are ads here.

I spotted a donation link at the bottom of the forum. I believe that might take them away...

I could remove the adds from the site at a rediculous cost. I just checked and for US$ 10 I can remove the adds on the site for approx. 5 days, as it's based on the number of pageviews and the forum is quite popular, this would mean I'd have to pay +/- $60-65 a month just to remove the adds, which is through the roof to be honest.

As others have said, using firefox with a nifty adblock plugin may cure all your worries and beyond (adblock will also help on plenty of other sites)

adblock plus completely removes ads, i hate hosts like this that force ads onto people, i think it would be better if you got a backup of the forum and moved to a better host, which would mean you could have more than just a forum.
