FinalBurn Alpha?

Postby quadomatic on Tue Jul 21, 2009 6:24 pm

I was hoping somebody could try compiling FinalBurn Alpha for Dingux? It'd be nice to have a CPS1/CPS2 and Neo Geo emulator under Dingux.

I don't see why CPS1/2 or NEOGEO should be a priority. They work much better than Megadrive. I don't see the point unless you want to flash out native Dingoo OS & go 100%Dingux.

I'd rather see Amiga.

I just figure that if linux can do the same job that the original firmware does, but better, why should I have the original firmware on there at all?

FM Radio
TV Out
Battery Level/config
Not sure if Linux will support these?

i dont think linux will ever support FM radio, that kind of coding cannot be ported as most (if not all) things that we currently have in Dingux, since there are no computers with buildt in radio

It doesnt really matter if a computer has it or not, its whether or not the code to support the chip in the dingoo has been included in any kernel trees or in the existing ingenic patches, linux runs on a great many things besides pc's and all of those have many peripherals that no common pc has
